kaal sarp dosha

Astrologers give special emphasis to this Kaal Sarp Yoga or Dosha. Many famous public personalities like Lata Mangeshkar, Sachin Tendulkar, Adolf Hitler,  Filmstar Rekha etc, has got this yoga present in their birth charts.

 

Kaal Sarp Dosha exists in a chart, when all the seven planets, the sun, moon, mars, mercury, jupiter, venus and saturn are placed between rahu and ketu. The chart appears to be half empty. Here Kaal stands for the Time, Sarpa stands for the Serpent And Yoga or Dosha stands for a particular combination of planets placed between Dragon's head / Rahu and Dragon's tail / Ketu. Its a kind of Nagpash, here the human soul is tied with his past karmas. Due to this the native feels a vacuum in his life and may experience some tragedies in life.The native may feel suffocated in certain matters due to this. The health and the marital happiness may suffer on this account.

 

Serpent play an important role in hindu mythology. Lord Shiva Carries a serpent. Lord Vishnu rests on Shesha Nag. We do celebrate Nag Panchmi to please the serpent Gods. In Mahabhartha, we consider balrama as an incarnation of serpent god. In Ramayana, we consider lakshmana as an incarnation of serpent god. There are 12 types of Kaal Sarp Yogas depends on the 12 zodiac signs and 12 special godly serpents and 12 Jyotir-Lingas. These 12 Godly serpents are 1.Anantha 2.Kulika 3.Vasuki 4.Shankuphala 5.Padma 6.Maha Padma 7.Takshak 8.Karkotaka 9.Shancha chud 10.Ghataka 11.Vishdhana and 12.Sesha Nag. If Rahu comes in the first house,then Ketu will be in the 7th house and all the remaining 7 planets are placed between Rahu and Ketu on one side, The Anantha Kaal Sarp Dosha comes into picture. Similarly, if Rahu in the 2nd house from ascendant and Ketu in the 8th house, Kulika Kaal Sarp Dosha comes into picture and so on the 12 kaal sarpa doshas.

 

The Kaal Sarp Yoga is of two types,1.Anuloma, when Rahu comes first and 2.Viloma,when Ketu comes in first. There are 12 Jyotir-Lingas in india and special rituals to the snake deity and lord Shiva are performed here to get rid of this dosha. There are two ancient temples in South India known for Kaal Sarp Dosha rituals to remove the obstacles experienced by the natives.1.Shri Kaal Hasti Temple, near Tirupati in Andhra Pradesh and 2. Shri Kuke Subramanyam in south Karnataka. "Ashlesha Bali" is the ritual-puja recommended for this dosha. Generally It is performed on a wednesday, when planet Moon is placed in Ashlesha nakshatra / lunar mansion.
